Abstract: A retreat can be defined as a limited time of isolation where an individual withdraws, from the society to a quiet place for prayer, to reflect and meditate. During this time, an individual is either alone with God or as part of a small group, withdraws, from the regular routine of daily life. For religious reasons such as renewal of the relationship with God the creator. Through retreat those who are soul searching are assisted to find their purpose in life especially in their vocations. Retreat help retreatants to attain spiritual growth, improve their closeness with God, through taking time to listen and hear God’s voice in one’s heart. Thus, this paper has a goal to propose eight days directed Retreat plan following spiritual exercise of Saint Ignatius. Each of the days are design to follow five steps as guides to an effective retreat, and these are; Use of imagination/images, use of scriptures, asking the grace you wish to achieve for a day, prayer guidelines and the colloquy.
