dc.description.abstract | Born on 5 June 1925 in Zanzibar, Gerry joined the Society of Jesus in Bombay on 10 February 1949 and took the first vows in the Society of Jesus in 1951. He then did a 2 year Juniorate in the same city. After Juniorate, he moved to Pune where he did his philosophy for 3 years. His regency was done in Ahmednagar, Belgaum following which he pursued theological studies in Pune for 4 years. He was ordained a priest in Poona on 24th March 1960. He did his tertianship in Hazaribagh in 1963/64 and made his final vows on 15 August 1964 as a spiritual coadjutor. He celebrated 55 years as a priest in March this year and on 10th February this year he completed 66 years as a Jesuit. | en_US |
