Abstract: According to the 2009 Population and Housing Census Results of Kenya that were made public on 31st August 2010i , Kenya’s population is estimated to be increasing by one million people yearly. The report cites that: “...high rate of population growth has adverse effects on spending in infrastructure, health, education, environment, water and other social and economic sectors”ii. The estimates are that by the year 2025, the country’s population will hit the fifty million mark.....
