Abstract: The first quarter of 2008 saw primi doing their experiments in hospitals, orphanages, schools and hospices. In their wholehearted free service, they touched Christ in the broken bodies of the suffering, which bears the wounds of huge pain. The experiences of work they got from the experiments have roots deep in Ignatian spirituality: a tradition springing from the Spiritual Exercises of seeing God present in the whole creation, of finding God in all things. The people in need of our service, especially the suffering, required of us the attention and love which our biblical tradition demands for “the orphans, widows and strangers in your midst” (GC 34, 64), that is, a response which reflects God’s preferential love for them. This kind of response, was explicitly manifested in the works the primi were engaged in on their experiments....
