| Abstract: | From May 25th to May 30th of 1998, Jesuits from Africa and Madagascar met at Bingerville in the Ivory Coast to reflect on the relevancy of African and Madagascan cultures on Jesuit life and mission. While discussing questions of formation and mission in Africa and Madagascar, an earlier notion resurfaced: the need for a publication which would present an Africa other than that of marginalization.
