dc.description.abstractHoly Family College opened in 1979 with an enrollment of 1753 in its primary, preparatory and secondary grade levels. Nearly all the students are Egyptian, 54% of them moslem. Among the 46% who are christian, some 30% are Copt Orthodox. Comprising the staff are 15 Jesuits together with 4 young French co-workers and 132 Egyptian teachers. Two religious communities are responsible for the first four primary grades: the Sisters of Notre Dame of Heliopolis, and the Company of Jesus of Cairo. Students come from the families of professionals: engineers, doctors, officers.......en_US
