Abstract:	Summary: 1. The expedition against Jaffna in order to recover the royal vessel has not been undertaken. Xavier has gone to San Thome. 2. Mansilhas and the Malabar priests are on Cape Comorin. New priests could be sent to Ceylon. He is thinking about going to Macassar. 3. New missionaries who do not know Portuguese should learn it.
