Title: Habari za Hekima - December 2022.
Authors: Hekima University College
Abstract: When I got my mission to study theology, I shared the good news with
my companions in Carroll Street, New York City. Bill Cain and the other
companions would often tease me that I was going to do theology of
design. Being a graduate student of Communications Design at the
time, the companions helped me to wonder what it might be like to
approach theology from a design perspective. My design thesis, titled
“Cognition as a Creative Tool”, attempted to demonstrate that every
human being is a designer. In it, I was expressing my belief that every
human being has the creative power of God within him/her. Having
completed my first semester of theology at Hekima, I have realized,
more than I had presumed, that God is a designer and that nature is a
piece of design and a product of God’s creativity.....

Title: Habari za Hekima - August 2023.
Authors: Hekima University College
Abstract: Collaboration is not easy”. This was one of the remarkable statements by
Fr. Allan Ggita, SJ, during the Ignatian week on the Topic “Collaborators
in Mission”. Fr. Allan brought to mind one of the elements that the
Society of Jesus has been insisting on for many years, especially from
the General Congregation 35, which is collaborating with lay people
and other congregations in our mission. This element is taken from
Christ. Right from the beginning of his mission here on earth, Christ
wanted collaborators. He collaborated with people of different tribes,
places, and professions....

Abstract: Already immersed in the spiritual atmosphere of the Holy Week, both
Staff and students of Hekima University College, together with their

liturgical year as a people of hope. The Hekima University College family
celebrated the mystery of the passion, death and resurrection of the
Lord in a spirit of tranquility and fraternity. There were no obstacles like
the covid-19 restrictions which had adversely affected the celebrations
in the previous years.

Title: Habari za Hekima - March 2023
Authors: Hekima University College
Abstract: In the month of March, our recollection was directed by Fr. Jaime Tatay,
SJ from Spain. Having done tertianship at Mwangaza Spirituality Centre,
Nairobi some years ago, it was a great joy for him to recall some Swahili
words which he learnt at that time. While giving us points for prayer
and reflection, Fr. Tatay helped us to re-read Pope Francis’ encyclical
Laudato Si’....
